Healthy Root Vegetable Soup

In this 21 century, with the change of our lifestyle, modern generation of people today has lost touch with the traditional way of cooking. A slow cooker is very versatile piece of kitchen equipment for the soups making purpose. Have a bowl of self-brewed soup recipe is play an important and powerful role to change your general lifestyle to more healthiness.

At my blog, I will share with you some of the soup recipes which I like and cooked many times, you just need to follow a few simple and easy steps to have a healthy soup.

The soup recipe I will introduce to you today is "Healthy Root Vegetable Soup".

1. 2 pieces of red carrot
2. 1 piece of green carrot
3. 1 piece of white carrot
4. 1 piece of dried squid
5. 10 pieces of red dates
6. 2000ml of clean water
7. 300 gram of meaty soup bones

1. Dash of salt

1. Peel the red carrot, white carrot and radish. Cut it into pieces.
2. Rinse dried squid and peel off the membrane layer.
3. Rinse the red dates.
4. Boil up the water now, and add in the entire ingredient into the pot or the slow cooker.
5. When the soup become a rapid boil, turn the heat to low, and simmer it for another 2 1/2 hours before add in the seasoning into the soup.
6. Hot soup is ready for serving.

Healthy Tips:
This soup is helps to get rid of toxic elements and is a relief drink for hangover. It also will expel the body heat and helps to get rid of phlegm as well.

Lotus Root Balls with Plum Sauce

Lotus Root! how you cook with lotus root usually? I believe most of the people cook lotus root with soup.
At this healthy recipes blog post, I will introduce you a tasty recipe for your delicious dinner tonight.
I had cook this many times, and I cooked and served it again yesterday night, all the people in my family and friend, who is vegetable lover, polished off this dish yesterday night,when I served it.
After polished off my dish, they will say: "this is the creative lotus root vegetable recipe we never try it before".

At today blog, I will share with you the easy and simple way to make this Lotus Root Balls with Plum sauce.  I hope you like it.

  1. 200g of lotus root with diced
  2. 100g of prawn meat with diced
  3. 2 tbsp of chopped spring onion
  4. 2 tbsp of corn flour
  5. 5 tbsp of plain flour
  6. 150ml of water
  7. 5 cups of oil
  1. 1/2 tsp of sugar
  2. 1/2 tsp of salt
  3. dash of sesame oil and pepper
  1. 3 tbsp of plum sauce
  2. 1 tsp of chopped chili
  3. 1 tbsp of lime juice
  4. 1 tbsp of sugar
  5. 100ml of water
  1. Place all the ingredients into a mixing bowl, add in the seasoning and mix it into a batter.
  2. Heat up the 5 cups of oil at the wok for deep frying.
  3. Scoop a tablespoonfuls of the batter [from the method 1)] and put it inside the wok with hot oil for deep fry until it turn to golden brown color.
  4. Dish and drain the lotus ball now.
  5. Repeat method 3) and 4) until you finished up all the batter at method 1).
  6. Use another clean wok, cook the sauce until it thick, add in the lotus root balls and stir well.
  7. The hot and tasty lotus root ball with plum sauce is ready for serve.
